Please give us two weeks’ notice. \n\nClass Description\nWho should we trust to (consensually) hurt our feelings? Wait\, what even are feelings? In a scarcity mindset\, we sometimes focus on the specifics of fulfilling a fantasy and forget to establish whether our scene partner(s) are right for the job. This class zooms in on motivations for and compatibility during emotional sadomasochism from a bottom’s perspective. SuspendDisbelief applies an academic lens to almost a decade of experience being consensually bullied in public and leads fellow emotional masochists through ten questions to ask for insight into their play desires. \nPresenter Bio\nSuspendDisbelief (she/her) is a queer\, non-monogamous lifestyle submissive and emotional masochist. Her hobby of choice has been getting hurt in public since 2017. When she is not busy flirting with sadists\, bleeding\, crying\, or philosophizing about power exchange\, she can usually be found where the rope is. She allows her professional teaching experience\, exhibitionism\, and chaos goblin play style to take the reins as she teaches\, firmly emphasizing that there is no perfect way to do edge play\, but finding safer ways is both worth it and fun. She delights in using her experience with ADHD to help others who have been betrayed by their neurodivergence while learning skills “get it”. \n\nTo minimize disruption\, there will be no admittance after 8:30. \nThis is not a play party.
