SUMMARY:Disability Perspectives in Kink Panel Discussion with Lizzie
DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nThis panel on disability perspectives in kink has the purpose of fostering understanding\, inclusivity\, and empowerment within the kink community. By providing a platform for dialogue\, education\, and sharing of experiences\, we are aiming to dismantle stigmas\, address misconceptions\, and advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities in kinky spaces. Through discussions on accessibility\, consent\, adaptation\, and pleasure\, we hope these kinds of panels promote a more inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can explore and express their desires authentically\, regardless of ability. \nThis panel discussion will not encompass all disabilities and experiences\, but is meant to help some folks start a dialogue and consider how going forward we can collectively normalize these conversations. \nTo better accommodate attendees and participants with a variety of disabilities\, we are asking that attendees wear masks. Panelists will be at least 10 feet away from the audience and may choose whether or not to wear masks to accommodate those deaf/hard of hearing. \nPresenter Bio\n\n@Skeleton_Bitch (they/he/she)\, aka Lizzie\, aka Picasso of Pain\, is a disabled\, genderfluid dominant/sadist/artist and one of the hosts of the monthly queer-centered play party\, @qinkdc. They have been participating in kink since 2006 and part of the DMV kink community since 2022. They have been navigating the nuances of being kinky while living with multiple chronic illnesses and being autistic with ADHD (AuDHD) and what that means for them as a dominant\, top\, and organizer. \n\n@Mr_Fox (they/he) is a queer\, neurodivergent & disabled\, polyamorous kinkster with experience as a Dom\, sub\, and primal player. Fox is passionate and nerdy about mental health education and advocacy\, community organizing\, and facilitating connection and growth. Fox is a proud co-founder of The Compound at Camp Social Club\, and the founder of Indecent Enterprises\, hosting monthly community & play events in the DC\, MD\, and VA area from 2012 to 2021. \n  \nAlex McGeorge (@texarcana) has been involved with BDSM in the Washington\, DC area for a truly boring amount of time. He currently is best known as co-organizer and event runner for The Crucible’s Dungeon 101. Alex has taught on spanking since 2012 through Dungeon 101 and other topics for events such as Black Rose\, FetFest\, MsC\, CLAW Getaway 2022 and internationally. When not enjoying the suffering of others Alex works on the offensive side of computer security for a cloud provider\, enjoys running around in nature and sometimes indulging in his compulsion to get into places he’s not supposed to be. \n  \nA former teacher with a lifelong passion for the bizarre and filthy\, @CarmenMonoxide (she/they) also works as a kink professional\, event organizer\, sex educator\, and relationship coach. She has presented for small\, medium\, and large events across North America. She founded Femme Fatale\, a kink event company\, and throws monthly parties in the Washington\, DC area. She sometimes takes her clothes off and performs onstage and on camera\, and is passionate about helping people overcome fear and shame in order to have authentic\, fulfilling\, sexy experiences. \nTickets are $5 for Black Rose Members and Members of Reciprocal Groups with their Membership Card and $10 for non-members. \nAll ticket sales are at the door. \n\nEmail info@br.org for more information about Black Rose or its events. \nAccessibility accommodations are available upon request to accessibility@br.org. Please give us two weeks’ notice. \nIf you have questions or would like to request a class topic\, please email education@br.org

SUMMARY:Pressure Points: Mapping Your Pleasure/Mapping Your Pain with Willow&Whittney
DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nIn the movie\, Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex …\, a new husband complains to a friend that his wife is frigid. The friend asks the husband if he knows where her erogenous zones are. The husband’s reply\, “Yes. Her father gave me a map!” Few of us have such accommodating in-laws\, but with some time and a sense of adventure\, you can map your own partner’s pleasure and pain spots. This playshop begins with an introduction to therapeutic trigger points and how to exploit them. Throughout the course\, we will take a head-to-toe inventory and practice finding and manipulating these spots. Participants will walk away wearing a map for later kinky fun! \nPresenter Bio\n\nWillow is a queer sadomasochistic switch who will never tire of rope\, blood\, or hooks. Equally happy with a goofy\, laugh-out-loud or nail-bitingly intense scene\, kink is a core part of who he is and what he does. During the pandemic\, Willow embraced online education and has garnered an international following on The Willow Show. Willow shares his infectious excitement through a wide variety of hands-on classes\, which you can see alongside his other shenanigans on Patreon and Fetlife: https://linktr.ee/TheWillowShow As a medical professional and professional pervert\, he can certainly say: one person’s torture\, is another person’s Tuesday! Whittney is a kinky polymath with over 30 years of exploring BDSM and teaching on a wide variety of kinky and non-kinky subjects. A respected Priest in the Pagan community\, talented massage and yoga therapist\, and registered nurse\, he uses his diverse skill set to enrich his teaching and further his community service. He currently serves as a board member\, Safety Officer\, and Dungeon Daddy for The Crucible in Washington\, DC.  Whittney and his Boy Willow lead SuspenDC\, a crew of kinky hook suspension artists specializing in tailored and transformative experiences. See the benefits and feel the advantage of a lifetime of experience and service to the BDSM community\, and come watch their team help people defy fear\, gravity\, and common sense as they Get Hooked and Fly! \n\nTickets are $5 for Black Rose Members and Members of Reciprocal Groups with their Membership Card and $10 for non-members. \nAll ticket sales are at the door. \n\nEmail info@br.org for more information about Black Rose or its events. \nAccessibility accommodations are available upon request to accessibility@br.org.
