SUMMARY:Bottom\, Know Thy Self with Willow
DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nIn a sea of classes that teach tops which end of the flogger to hold\, we are turning the spotlight on the other half of the equation! \nNo two bottoms are alike and the standard negotiation checklist of who is hitting who\, with what\, and where\, leaves much of desire unaddressed\, and worse\, often assumes you already know exactly what you like! \nJoin Willow and Marti for a class which will help you to figure out the nitty gritty of what you like and how you like it\, and how to effectively communicate what you want. \nExamples in class will include a wide range of kinks\, and by request will include a focus on rope bondage. \nTops: this is your opportunity to listen for insight into your partners’ experience- work better\, together! \nPresenter Bio\nWillow is a queer sadomasochistic switch who will never tire of rope\, sharps\, or pressure points. Equally happy with a goofy\, laugh-out-loud or nail-bitingly intense scene\, kink is a core part of who he is and what he does. He has a flair for getting others hooked with his approachable\, engaging\, and always entertaining teaching style. Willow shares his infectious excitement through a wide variety of hands-on classes\, and has garnered an international following via online education during the pandemic\, which you can see alongside his other shenanigans on Patreon and Fetlife: https://linktr.ee/TheWillowShow \n\nTo minimize disruption\, there will be no admittance after 8:30. \nThis is not a play party. SUMMARY:Community Outreach: Your Privacy Online with Alex McGeorge
DESCRIPTION:Accessibility accommodations are available upon request to accessibility@br.org. Please give us two weeks’ notice. \n\nClass Description\nThe changing US political landscape along with our ever increasing integration with various types of computing has many concerned about their privacy and anonymity. This class details common sense steps you can take to increase your privacy\, security\, and anonymity while doing such previously mundane things as: looking at porn\, crossing borders\, booking medical appointments\, attending political actions\, simply existing in America! I will only cover topics related to personal security\, anything that would generally be covered by a business or organization paying a consultant is off limits. \nPresenter Bio\nAlex McGeorge has been involved with BDSM in the DMV for a truly boring amount of time. He currently is best known as co-organizer and event runner for The Crucible’s Dungeon 101. Alex has taught on spanking since 2012 through Dungeon 101 and at events for Black Rose\, FetFest\, CLAW Getaway 2022 and internationally. When not enjoying the suffering of others Alex works on the offensive side of computer security for a cloud provider\, enjoys running around in nature and sometimes indulging in his compulsion to get into places he’s not supposed to be. \nThis is a community outreach event and attendance is free of charge to current members and folks newer to Black Rose.\n\nTo minimize disruption\, there will be no admittance after 8:30. \nThis is not a play party. Do not attempt to engage in scenes or solicit others for play\, except for labbing as part of a workshop-style class. \nTickets are $5 for Black Rose Members and Members of Reciprocal Groups with their Membership Card and $10 for non-members. \nAll ticket sales are at the door. \nEmail info@br.org for more information about Black Rose or its events. \nIf you have questions or would like to request a class topic\, please email education@br.org

SUMMARY:Kink While BIPOC Panel Discussion Facilitated by Mo
DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nJoin us for a candid and affirming conversation centering the experiences of BIPOC individuals within the kink community. This panel brings together a diverse group of Black\, Indigenous\, and People of Color to share personal stories\, reflections\, and insights on navigating kink as part of their full\, complex identities. \nFrom finding belonging and joy in kink spaces to navigating cultural expectations and building affirming connections\, panelists will explore how race\, heritage\, and kink intersect in unique and powerful ways. Whether you’re curious\, questioning\, or fully immersed\, this conversation offers space to learn\, connect\, and celebrate the richness of BIPOC presence in kink. \nNavigating Identity and Cultural Expectations\nPanelists may explore how their cultural or familial backgrounds shape their relationship to kink\, sexuality\, and bodily autonomy. This includes navigating shame\, secrecy\, or silence in communities where open conversations about desire may be rare—and how individuals have found ways to reclaim and redefine pleasure on their own terms. \nRepresentation and Community Building\nThe conversation may highlight the importance of representation in kink spaces—seeing other BIPOC individuals in roles of dominance\, submission\, leadership\, or creative expression—and the power of finding or creating community that reflects your lived experience. Panelists might share how they’ve cultivated spaces of affirmation\, safety\, and mutual understanding\, both online and in person. \nJoy\, Play\, and Liberation\nBeyond challenges\, the panel will make space for joy—discussing the freedom\, creativity\, and healing that kink can offer. Expect reflections on how kink can be a source of empowerment\, a way to explore identity in expansive ways\, and a practice of pleasure and play rooted in self-determination. \nConsent\, Boundaries\, and Racial Dynamics\nPanelists may also share how they navigate consent and communication in scenes that involve mixed racial dynamics—the setting of clear boundaries\, or addressing moments of discomfort or harm. This includes discussions of how to uphold agency and safety while exploring complex power exchanges. \nAdvice for BIPOC Newcomers\nTo close\, the panel might offer insight or encouragement for BIPOC individuals new to the kink scene—naming practical ways to find community\, avoid tokenization\, and engage in kink practices that feel affirming\, safe\, and exciting. Whether through mentorship\, events\, or personal exploration\, the message will be clear: you belong. \nFacilitator Bio\nMo or @MoProblems (any/all) is a queer genderfluid kinkster entering a second year in the local DC scene. Mo has been exploring what it means to exist on both sides of the slash. A frequent student of Black Rose\, Mo is a new presenter with a decade of experience as a trainer and coach\, and nearly 20 years of experience with both sides of a blowjob. \nTickets are $5 for Black Rose Members and Members of Reciprocal Groups with their Membership Card and $10 for non-members. \nAll ticket sales are at the door. \n\nEmail info@br.org for more information about Black Rose or its events. \nAccessibility accommodations are available upon request to accessibility@br.org. SUMMARY:Genderfuckery - Gender that Fucks! with Alixander
DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nWe express our genders (or lack thereof) in many ways. However\, it can feel dysphoric when our inner vision of our gender expression feels incongruous with our outer physical execution. This class is intended to help you get in touch with your body\, and explore ways to bring your physicality more in line with the way you want to express your gender. We will be discussing how society’s expectations of gender expression play a role in how one’s physicality is perceived\, and how someone can use these often restrictive expectations to their advantage when trying to match their physicality to their gender presentation. This class is a combination of discussion and accessible exercises\, and designed to be a safer space to explore and have fun with your body and gender expression. \nPresenter Bio\nDevious & Delightful\, Vibrant & Violent. Alixzander is a sadomasochistic switch\, with a penchant for the dark\, wild\, and insane. They enjoy sensory deprivation\, putting cocks in their mouth\, needles to the head\, having fun things put in them\, electrocuting boys\, and much much more. \nAlixzander is one of the hosts of Queer Identifying n Kinky (QINK) and Crucible Rendezvous\, which are monthly parties held at The Crucible. They are the former Education Director of Black Rose\, and is currently on staff for Camp Crucible\, Cruciblecon\, Fornucopia\, Femme Fatale Co.\, LOBO\, TES Fest\, and CLAW. SUMMARY:Learning to love latex with Iana and Shutterdoll
DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nSince the 19th century the allure of the look and feel of latex has been captivating fetishists and fashionistas around the world. Latex is used in everything from dark fetish porn to high class outfits on the red carpet. It is a material that has a unique look and feel that appeals to people for many reasons.\nCome visit us while we discuss everything shiny. In this class we will cover why people are interested in latex and rubber. How to play with it and look good in regardless of gender expression or body type. Discuss different kinds of latex and gear. Give tips on where to find pieces. And information on cleaning and maintenance. If you have been wearing it for years or are just curious where all of the interest comes from this class should cover all aspects of the fashion. \nAllergy note: There will be people wearing latex\, please be aware of this if you do have a severe allergy to it. \nPresenter Bio\nTom has been around the DC kink community for over 20 years. He is a Black Rose Emeritus Board Member\, Crucible manager\, and event photographer. You will just as likely find him working behind a desk as you will find him lovingly hurting friends. He was born and raised in the Northern VA area and currently lives with his wonderful wife\, multiple kittens and an older pupper. Always there is far too much to do and too little time to do it. \nHumiliation and power exchange were the catalysts which got him into the BDSM community in the first place. From some very confusing teen years\, into realizing he greatly wanted to actually engage in this kind of thing\, it was always there as part of what he wanted to do. Tom loves to put on his ‘helpful’ hat and give useful or “useful” ideas to those that want to play with these sorts of things. \nHis other passion is photography. If there is a camera allowed\, you will almost always find Tom behind the lens. Going by the name ShutterDoll\, he loves to be able to capture a moment\, a memory\, or just an excellent whip strike.
