Please give us two weeks’ notice. \n\nClass Description\nThe Introduction to Impact Play 101 is a beginner-level BDSM class designed to provide a safe and accessible introduction to the world of impact play. This unique workshop utilizes pool noodles as demonstration tools\, allowing participants to explore various techniques while emphasizing the importance of consent\, communication\, and safety. \nLed by experienced practitioners in a non-judgmental and inclusive environment\, this class focuses on the fundamentals of impact play\, which involves striking or spanking the body with various implements. By using pool noodles\, participants can learn and practice the techniques without causing harm or discomfort to one another. \nDuring the workshop\, participants will be introduced to a range of techniques\, including light tapping\, rhythmic spanking\, and more intense impacts. The instructors will demonstrate proper body positioning\, wrist action\, and targeting to ensure the desired sensation and minimize the risk of injury. They will also emphasize the importance of reading verbal and non-verbal cues from their partners\, promoting active consent and open communication. \nIn addition to teaching impact techniques\, the class will cover essential do’s and don’ts regarding where to hit. This includes discussions on sensitive areas to avoid\, such as joints\, kidneys\, spine\, and face\, and focusing on the safe zones like the buttocks and upper thighs. Understanding the body’s anatomy and limits is crucial in impact play to ensure a consensual and pleasurable experience for both partners. \nSafety and consent are paramount throughout the workshop. Participants will learn about negotiation\, setting boundaries\, and implementing safe words or signals to establish clear communication and maintain a safe and enjoyable play environment. The instructors will also address aftercare\, emphasizing the importance of providing comfort and support to participants after an impact scene. \nWhether you are new to BDSM or looking to expand your knowledge and skills in impact play\, Impact Play 101 offers a welcoming and educational experience. Join us to learn the art of impact play\, foster trust and communication\, and explore the exhilarating world of BDSM in a safe and consensual manner. \nPresenter Bio\nI have been active in the kink community since 1998\, beginning as a submissive and now as a dominant. In this class\, we will explore physical\, emotional\, and psychological dimensions of care across roles\, bodies\, and dynamics. Whether you’re topping\, bottoming\, switching\, or playing solo\, you’ll leave with concrete strategies for planning and negotiating meaningful aftercare. We’ll also address time-delayed needs\, communication challenges\, and making care plans specific to you and your scene.  \nPresenter Bio\nChaotic Elle (she/they) is the founder of The SexEd We Missed\, where they offer inclusive pleasure-focused sex education through 1:1 coaching\, workshops\, and community learning spaces. Elle holds a Master’s degree in Sexual Health and brings years of experience teaching both vanilla and kink-focused content. They’ve led sessions at kink camps\, consulted with sexual health nonprofits across the globe\, and trained medical professionals on how to have better conversations about sex.
