DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nThe art of flogging relies on a broad range of skills\, each of which are arts on their own. When brought together\, these skills transform flogging from being a simple impact scene into an expression of creativity that deepens the connection between the people involved. \nThis playshop focuses on presenting the skills of flogging as building blocks\, with suggestions on how to practice each and then integrate them into a cohesive whole. Together we’ll explore the typical skills: how to stand\, how to hold your tool\, and ways to throw. We will also explore: how to get your partner ready and connect to them\, how to use music\, create flow\, and most importantly\, how to have fun. This workshop focuses on how to vet a potential partner\, questions to ask\, how to evaluate the answers\, and some of the tools at your disposal. We will also discuss keeping yourself safe during your initial meeting and play\, as well as red flags that can be hidden further down the line. \nPresenter Bio\nAJ Renard (she/her) has been involved in the BDSM world her entire adult life\, although she was a dark little thing far before that. AJ works in the mental health field and has a deep passion for teaching about BDSM and consent. DESCRIPTION:Black Rose’s New and Curious Kinksters (or NaCK)\, is a discussion group designed for people who are new(ish) to the scene. While we highly recommend all new kinksters check out Gateway (the first/last Thursday of each month – always the day before D101) and Dungeon 101 (the first Friday of each month) and come with questions about their experiences\, it is not required\, and we welcome anyone new to kink. Please note NaCK is for asking questions\, there will be no presentation or monologuing. \nWe meet the 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00pm. We are going to try out having virtual NaCK. I know many of us have Zoom fatigue\, but this is a more responsible approach. We’ll chat about whatever comes up – everything from “what do I wear to the club?” to “I had this great scene\, but this part didn’t go well. What do you suggest?” NaCK has a rotating group of experienced kinksters come in to answer questions\, so the discussion is always a little bit different\, and we aim to provide a variety of answers from different D/s roles\, genders\, races\, and backgrounds. \nIf you are still in the beginning of your kink journey\, we hope you’ll come join us to ask questions and share advice. DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nWhy are playgrounds important? Playgrounds and play encourage growth\, learning\, development\, communication\, relationships\, boundaries\, and a sense of self worth. All are welcome in this class and tools and exercises are built for all levels of attendees – regardless of experience\, identifiers\, “type of player”\, or side of the slash- this class is for you. \nThe objective of this class is to reinvigorate a sense of play\, exploration\, and creativity in order to build ability\, confidence\, and relationships in play and play spaces. This is a class of doing and discussing\, as opposed to handouts and note taking. T-shirts / loose fitting clothing or gym appropriate clothing is encouraged for this class. There will be accessible movement\, negotiated touching\, partnering up and changing partners throughout these exercises. This class will have noises like crinkling paper\, loud voices and other sounds. Sound dampening devices are welcome. Gloves and masks are welcome and will be available\, but may or may not be required (depending on rates of infection or immune-compromised attendance). A large part of this class will be negotiating personal boundaries and needs in short bursts of time\, and learning to explore within those boundaries. You will need to adapt to the level of safety determined by your partners as we go around the room. This class will not be suited for recording and attendance needs to be in person. This class may be embarrassing\, discomforting\, and may lead to uncontrolled laughter and silliness. In this class we will learn how to spank the butts of others including all the anatomy\, neuroscience and technique to be really good at it!
