DESCRIPTION:Black Rose’s New and Curious Kinksters (or NaCK)\, is a discussion group designed for people who are new(ish) to the scene. While we highly recommend all new kinksters check out Gateway (the first/last Thursday of each month – always the day before D101) and Dungeon 101 (the first Friday of each month) and come with questions about their experiences\, it is not required\, and we welcome anyone new to kink. DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nThis panel on disability perspectives in kink has the purpose of fostering understanding\, inclusivity\, and empowerment within the kink community. By providing a platform for dialogue\, education\, and sharing of experiences\, we are aiming to dismantle stigmas\, address misconceptions\, and advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities in kinky spaces. Through discussions on accessibility\, consent\, adaptation\, and pleasure\, we hope these kinds of panels promote a more inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can explore and express their desires authentically\, regardless of ability. \nThis panel discussion will not encompass all disabilities and experiences\, but is meant to help some folks start a dialogue and consider how going forward we can collectively normalize these conversations. \nTo better accommodate attendees and participants with a variety of disabilities\, we are asking that attendees wear masks. Panelists will be at least 10 feet away from the audience and may choose whether or not to wear masks to accommodate those deaf/hard of hearing. \nPresenter Bio\n\n@Skeleton_Bitch (they/he/she)\, aka Lizzie\, aka Picasso of Pain\, is a disabled\, genderfluid dominant/sadist/artist and one of the hosts of the monthly queer-centered play party\, @qinkdc. They have been participating in kink since 2006 and part of the DMV kink community since 2022. Do you aspire to do more physically challenging rope\, but are not sure how to get there? This class will draw upon techniques from sports medicine\, dance\, and circus arts to provide simple exercises for deepening your body awareness and learning how to protect your body from injuries while tying or being tied. This class will include: A simple full-body warm-up that can also be used prior to play or other physical activities Exercises for improving your awareness of how your body feels in a particular moment or position Tips for improving your awareness of where your body is in a particular space\, and how to stay alert to potential nearby obstacles or hazards Joint stability exercises for active bottoming Functional movement tips for avoiding stressing out your joints while topping \nPresenter Bio\n\nAbundantMischief is a queer polyamorous toppy switch\, gleeful sadomasochist\, and enthusiastic boot fetishist. DESCRIPTION:Black Rose’s New and Curious Kinksters (or NaCK)\, is a discussion group designed for people who are new(ish) to the scene. While we highly recommend all new kinksters check out Gateway (the first/last Thursday of each month – always the day before D101) and Dungeon 101 (the first Friday of each month) and come with questions about their experiences\, it is not required\, and we welcome anyone new to kink. Please note NaCK is for asking questions\, there will be no presentation or monologuing. \nWe meet the 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00pm. We are going to try out having virtual NaCK. I know many of us have Zoom fatigue\, but this is a more responsible approach. We’ll chat about whatever comes up – everything from “what do I wear to the club?” to “I had this great scene\, but this part didn’t go well. What do you suggest?” NaCK has a rotating group of experienced kinksters come in to answer questions\, so the discussion is always a little bit different\, and we aim to provide a variety of answers from different D/s roles\, genders\, races\, and backgrounds. \nIf you are still in the beginning of your kink journey\, we hope you’ll come join us to ask questions and share advice.
