DESCRIPTION:Black Rose’s New and Curious Kinksters (or NaCK)\, is a discussion group designed for people who are new(ish) to the scene. While we highly recommend all new kinksters check out Gateway (the first/last Thursday of each month – always the day before D101) and Dungeon 101 (the first Friday of each month) and come with questions about their experiences\, it is not required\, and we welcome anyone new to kink. Please note NaCK is for asking questions\, there will be no presentation or monologuing. \nWe meet the 4th Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00pm. We are going to try out having virtual NaCK. I know many of us have Zoom fatigue\, but this is a more responsible approach. We’ll chat about whatever comes up – everything from “what do I wear to the club?” to “I had this great scene\, but this part didn’t go well. What do you suggest?” NaCK has a rotating group of experienced kinksters come in to answer questions\, so the discussion is always a little bit different\, and we aim to provide a variety of answers from different D/s roles\, genders\, races\, and backgrounds. \nIf you are still in the beginning of your kink journey\, we hope you’ll come join us to ask questions and share advice. DESCRIPTION:Class Description\nWe all know the importance of vetting\, but are we really doing it effectively? What other tools and resources do you have to keep yourself safe? This workshop focuses on how to vet a potential partner\, questions to ask\, how to evaluate the answers\, and some of the tools at your disposal. We will also discuss keeping yourself safe during your initial meeting and play\, as well as red flags that can be hidden further down the line. \nPresenter Bio\nAJ Renard (she/her) has been involved in the BDSM world her entire adult life\, although she was a dark little thing far before that. AJ works in the mental health field and has a deep passion for teaching about BDSM and consent. She finds her happy place when there is rope\, electricity\, knives\, boots\, fear\, and a lot of crying involved. In her limited free time she makes custom chainmaille for her shop\, Foxy Feisty Redhead. \nAJ teaches a variety of classes about consent\, negotiations\, perspectives on D/s\, bottoming for intense scenes and edge play\, mental health and BDSM\, and behavioral science in PE dynamics.
