From Passion to Presentation: Teach What You Know with Clarity and Confidence with Noire LeGrande

Class Description
You know your stuff—but can you teach it? Whether you’re stepping into your first presentation or refining your approach after years of community teaching, this interactive workshop will help you share your ideas with clarity, confidence, and impact. Many passionate kink and alternative sexuality educators know their material deeply—but that doesn’t always translate into effective planning or delivery, especially for adult learners.
Designed for both new and experienced presenters, this session offers practical strategies for building inclusive, engaging presentations that connect. You’ll leave with tools to plan, deliver, and grow—whether you’re teaching a single class or building a workshop series.
This workshop is intentionally content-rich—not to overwhelm, but to plant seeds you can return to as you grow. We’ll cover adult learning principles, common teaching pitfalls, session structure, accessibility, and interaction.
You’ll also practice navigating real-world teaching challenges—like nerves, tough questions, and unexpected disruptions—with calm and confidence. Peer connection and feedback are built in, giving you space to reflect, refine, and step forward with purpose.
Whether your goal is to teach one great class or develop a full presenter portfolio, this session will help you get there.
Participants will explore how to:
• Choose the right session format and structure
• Use backward design to create focused, learner-centered sessions
• Engage adult learners through accessible, interactive delivery
• Plan for technology hiccups and diverse accessibility needs
• Navigate emotional triggers, challenges to authority, and in-the-moment teaching stressors
• Build confidence through rehearsal, peer connection, and self-critique
• Request and apply feedback to improve future presentations
• Feel empowered to reach out to conferences and organizations with confidence
