Class Description

Know Before You Heaux: Vetting 101 is a candid discussion between Sir PushUrLimitz and BiteMeThere about protecting your peace, your body, your reputation, and your time. We’ll dig into the realities of navigating kink spaces, from spotting red flags and verifying reputations to understanding how manipulation, performative dominance, and community dynamics can complicate even the most seasoned kinkster’s judgment.

During this discussion, we’ll explore

• The fundamentals of effective vetting (online and in-person)
• Why gatekeeping is dangerous
• How predators, opportunists, and “role players” slip through the cracks
• Why experience can sometimes make people less cautious
• Building trusted networks and using community knowledge wisely
• Asking the hard questions that protect you before you play

Come ready for Real Talk, shared experiences, and practical tools to help you move through kink spaces with clarity and confidence.

All skill levels/kink levels are welcome; This is a great class for newbies to the scene as well as veterans, as a refresher course.

Total time: 90 minutes

This class will involve participation from the crowd, where we hope we can invite people to ask questions and share their own stories of vetting wins or fails. We want everyone to walk away with a renewed sense of confidence in their vetting process.

Presenter Bio

I have been known as BiteMeThere for the last 15 years. My path in the kink space has been anything but linear. My journey has largely centered around building communities where people who look like me can thrive. Through my writings, teaching, and community engagement, I continue to explore the intersections of power dynamics, service, vulnerability, and what it means to trust. I value honest conversations that allow room for feedback in its many forms; it will always be my goal to build intentional relationships that propel this community, our community, forward in a positive way.I believe that kink is best experienced when all participants are given the space and freedom to be seen, heard, respected, and safe to explore their pleasure.

Widely known as Sir PUL, he is a Male Dominant Heterosexual Leather (MDHL f/s) with more than 14 years of experience in the lifestyle. Recognized as a Sensual Sadist, Daddy, Protector, and Educator, he is deeply committed to mentorship, communication, and personal growth within the community. A proud member of the NASSORS Leather Brotherhood, he also serves as a host and producer for Black & Kinky DC, helping create safer spaces for education, exploration, and fellowship throughout the DMV area. Originally beginning his journey in New York City, Sir PUL has remained active in community projects and events across the East Coast. Guided by the belief that “none of us is as smart as all of us,” he continues to prioritize learning, leadership, and connection within the lifestyle.

To minimize disruption, there will be no admittance after 8:30.

This is not a play party. Do not attempt to engage in scenes or solicit others for play, except for labbing as part of a workshop-style class.

Tickets are $5 for Black Rose Members and Members of Reciprocal Groups with their Membership Card and $10 for non-members.
